The state of Bihar is developing the Ramayana Circuit,the holy path on which Lord Rama along with Guru Vishvamitra travelled in ancient days all along Ayodhya to Janakpur via Siddhashram (Buxer), Ahilyasthan (Kamtaul,Darbhanga). The story is well- known and well- sung in all the enchanting verses of the great epics of the time. These are the places which came into importance after the visit of Rama but the places which already had its importance prior to this visit are not well-covered by the great authors and Kalyaneshwarsthan situated in the village of Kalna, of today's Harlakhi Block in the district of Madhubani, Bihar (India) belongs to this category probably. Going by the writings of Gazeteers of Darbhanga it has been mentioned that the area of Mithila Raj was under the influence of Shaivites and was marked by many Shiva temples and even the town of Janakpur had four gates of entry and all the gates were marked by four Shiva temples in all the four directions named as Kalyaneshwar on the south, Jaleshwar on the west, Kshireshwar on the north and Mittileshwar on the east. Today only Jaleshwar and Kalyaneshwar stand as testimony to this historical fact. Mithila records confirm that God Kalyaneshwar Shiva and Goddess Girija (Parvati) gave darshan to King Mithi, the founder of Mithila Raj and agreed to stay here and protect the kingdom and the king had accepted them as their Kul-Devata and thus the story of Sita visiting Girijasthan (a place close to Kalyaneshwarsthan) everyday and also the first sighting of Ram at Baag Taraag place in the garden of flowers called Phulhar follows.

                                                                                                 

                                                               The divine incident of ''love at first sight''sung sweetly in Mithila area rejoices the heart of the followers even today when Sita saw Ram for the first time and wished to have him as blessing-boon before Mata Girija. Ram had come to this beautiful place from Bishaul ( a place situated 3 kms.from Kalyaneshwarsthan) where Guru Vishwamitra stayed with Ram-Lakshman brothers before partaking in the Syvambar Ceremony (Dhanukha Yagyan) at Janakpur.

 Ram before proceeding to Janakpur ''says -Baba Shashwat'' went to Phulhar for collecting flowers with younger brother Lakshman where Sita had also come to receive blessings of her kul-devi Mata Girija (Parvati) when on the cheerful description(Gira nayan ananayan bin vanni) of one of her scholar companions she went on to see the incomparable lads at Baag Taraag and really got mesmerized to see Ram. Her wishful thinking of adoption of Ram in the midst of fear against the backdrop of strong vow of her father created a mixed feeling only to subside when Mata Girija granted the boon of her desire ( Sun Siya satya ashish hamari; Pujahi manokamna tumahari:).The Manokamnasthan of nearby Village Manaharpur is said by many of the persons as a place asked by Maharani Girija to be worshiped by Sita for the fulfilment of her desire in the words put before.

The love morphology together with the fear psychosis is extra-ordinarily narrated and beautifully presented by Baba Tulsidas in his Ramcharitmanas (Bal-kand)..........

:Kalyaneshwar Shiva in the beginning of the twentieth century was not known much to the outside world. Then came to reside here a saint God Baba Paramhansa amidst vast jungle with little or almost no facility to stay. The cool, calm and peace-loving Baba's saintly and godly behaviour is still in the minds of lacs of devotees as Baba lived here physically till the year1992. Several stories about him and his teachings in simple Bhojpuri as he belonged to the village Amahishukla in Bhore Block of Gopalganj district in Bihar state of India can be heard from even the herdsmen of this area. He knew the wishes and the problems of the persons coming to the place even before his attendence to the place. This charismatic character attached too much importance of the places hitherto unknown to most of the people.

 Baba Shashwat , the disciple of Baba Paramhansa, is today residing here as a continuence of this great tradition of Bhakti with utmost simplicity.............................................

 Baba Chalisa has also been written by Mr Vinayji on the pattern of Hanuman Chalisa.All these books are available for the devotees at almost no cost at the Sthan itself.

Baba Chalisa is being loaded here for the convenience of the Bhaktas of Kalyaneshwarsthan : ---

                                                          

        

                                                            The stories related to the early life and visits of Baba cannot be found at one place in toto although Mohan Jha,s association and his publication  on Baba is a beautiful attempt with all standards of authenticity --"Shree Shree 108 Baba Paramhansaji Kalna Baba."

                                                                          Among the books published from Nepal I have gone through a thin book "Janakpur ke Shaktipeeth"published by Khojbeen Prakashan,Janakpur,Nepal and written by Kamal Shah.In the book two three valuable pages are devoted to Baba based on revealings of Baba's associate and disciple Shree Ram Gulam Das.It mentions several places( Math and Mandir ) associated with Baba's wandering for salvation --------

                             1.Janaki Mandir,Janakpur -Baba reached this place at the age of 21 and the hungry Baba was given food by Ramkishun Das Baba of the temple.

                             2. Maha Devi Mandir, Kuva,Janakpur -Baba Gokul Das of this Math saved Baba from the anger of the local people from being misunderstood.

                             3. Hanumangadhi, Janakpur -He slept under the Ashoka tree where he was given darshan and food by God Hanumanji who also asked him to move to Dhanusha Dham.

                             4.Devdiha village,Nepal - He met four pundits there planning to visit Dhanusha at the time of Magh Makarshakranti fair-Turant Lal Jha of Mahinathpur, Baidyanath Jha of Lagma, Sukhdeo Jha of Gobrahi and Luxmi Purohit of Devdiha.Baba joined them and all left for Dhanusha.

                             5.Budhi Matasthan, Baghchaura -Between Baghchaura and Kathpulla villages he moved towards a river to take a dip leaving the team aside.At night he came to Matasthan and slept here.When he couldnot get the food there from anyone he left this place in hunger.

                             6.Hanumat Bhairavstan , Jhari -Here Goddess Gauri Ganga Mata gave him darshan and "kheer" -sweet dish to eat and water to drink and the water that fell on the ground formed a river which was named by Baba as Gauri Ganga.Later a temple of Mata Gauri Ganga was built here by the people.
