The temple is situated about 200 kms away from Patna, the state capital of Bihar and about 40 kms from Madubani in the state of Bihar(India) and about 15 kms from Janakpur(Nepal) in the villae of Kalna at Block Harlakhi in the district of Madhubani (Bihar). The temple of Kalyaneshwar was one of the four major gates of entry into Mithila Nagari during the reign of king Sirdhwaj Janak,father of Sita.The nearest railway station is Jaynagar which is about 18 kms away.NH 104 runs on the Northside (about 4kms) while NH 105 passes on its western side (about 12 kms).
